Laura Willoughby FRSA, co-founder of Club Soda, invites Fellows to discover low and no alcohol free drinks at their free festival in London. Laura received an RSA Catalyst grant to help develop the online drinks and venues guide, the Club Soda Guide.
Club Soda, The Mindful Drinking Movement, are bringing back their low and no alcohol drinks festival to the Truman Brewery in London this January after a great event last year. This will be their seventh Mindful Drinking Festival, which clearly shows that the move towards a healthier drinking culture is gathering momentum in the UK. 8.6m people will be actively moderating their drinking in 2020.
The Mindful Drinking Festival is supported by Lyre’s Non-Alcoholic Spirits, Old Mout Cider, UpFlow Brewing Collective and Lindeman’s Wines and will showcase over 60 low and no alcohol drinks including craft beers, wines, botanical spirits, lower-sugar sodas, kombuchas tonics and infusions.
The event is hosting cocktail masterclasses, beer tastings and drink talks with the country’s leading experts including Camille from La Maison Wellness. There will also be inspirational talks and panels on the Motivation Stage with speakers offering top tips and insights on changing drinking habits and living healthier lifestyles.
Club Soda founder Laura Willoughby MBE FRSA said:
“After overdoing it at Christmas and New Year, the festival is a great place to discover a new favourite tipple, whether you are on a January health-kick, looking for new flavours or trying for a baby in 2020.
You don’t have to be doing a dry January to come along, you may just want to swap out a few alcoholic drinks for something a bit healthier. So, whether you’re going sugar-free, on a fitness regime, drinking more mindfully, or going alcohol-free, we think you will find something to hit the spot.”
The Club Soda Mindful Drinking Festival is hosted by the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in East London on Saturday 18th January from 11am to 6pm and Sunday 19th January from 10am to 5pm and is free. Follow the link for more details: www.mindfuldrinkingfestival.com
