Dorcas Erskine
National Coordinator, Poppy Project
Dorkas Erskine is the National Coordinator for the Poppy Project- a charity initiative which supports victims of human trafficking in the UK. Before leading the Poppy Project, Dorcas was Head of Policy for Action Aid Tanzania where she led the development and roll out of programmes on food security, women’s rights, governance, land rights and education in Tanzania. Prior to her appointment in Tanzania, Dorcas was the Head of Public Affairs at ActionAid where she led on ActionAid’s work on women’s rights in Afghanistan and provided direction to ActionAid’s public policy work in the UK. Originally from Ghana, Dorcas mapped out a career in the UK parliament and in corporate firms with commercial interests in developing countries before joining the non-profit sector.
