The Romney Room offers space for meetings, conferences, small dinners and break out spaces in the surroundings of Georgian splendour.
Conveniently situated on the first floor, the Romney Room has adjoining doors to both the Prince Philip and Shipley rooms which work well for interconnecting break out spaces. It is often used as the refreshments or pre-dinner drinks reception space when hired in conjunction with the Prince Philip Room.
This room includes a built-in 65” screen and Clickshare USB facility, enabling easy connection for presentations. Audio and video conferencing packages are also available on request.
The Romney Room was named after Robert Lord Romney, second president of the RSA. This was once the main drawing room of number 2 John Adam Street.
The fireplace and doorcase were rescued from Bowood House, Wiltshire, when a wing was demolished in 1955-6.

A classically decorated room with a modern feel, the Shipley features a beautiful Adam ceiling and a round table, ideal for smaller meetings. Capacity: up to 12.
