STAY TUNED for the full event #RSAreplay on 4th March!
We can solve our climate emergency, but we must act now.
Christiana Figueres was Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change from 2010-2016, and the public face of the most pivotal climate agreement in history, the Paris Climate Agreement of 2015.
Tom Rivett-Carnac was Christiana’s political strategist at the UN. Together, they are the co-founders of Global Optimism, an organisation focused on bringing about environmental and social change, and co-authors of a new book, The Future We Choose - a passionate call to arms, and reminder to all those who feel powerless to stop the climate emergency that there are practical things we can do today to make a difference.
At the RSA, Christiana and Tom will outline two scenarios for our future: how life on Earth will be by 2050 if we fail to meet the Paris Agreement climate targets; or how it will look and feel to live in a carbon neutral, regenerative world.
This is the final hour: it can be our finest hour. It’s up to us, which future we choose.
