RSA Local Forum: Young People’s Health, Housing and Economic Security

Fellowship events / Online

Online (via Zoom)

Life was hard enough for the young, even before Covid. RSA research shows a quarter of 18-25 year olds struggle to meet basic living costs. The pandemic has brought insecurities and inequalities into much sharper focus.

How can we help young people to a fairer, healthier future?

To start our event we’ll hear from RSA researchers Fran Landreth Strong and Hannah Webster about the RSA’s work on young people’s future health and economic insecurity, funded by the Health Foundation.

Then Martin Clark of Allia and John Evans of New Meaning will talk about their collaboration on an innovative Cambridge

housing project which gave employment and training to 13 young, disadvantaged and formerly homeless people.

After these short presentations we’ll have a Q&A then move into breakout rooms for discussion and then return for a final plenary session.

This event, hosted by the RSA Cambridge Network, is free to attend and open to all.
