Inspired by the RSA’s origin in an enlightenment coffeehouse over 260 years ago, our new Northern Coffeehouse series offers an interactive space to share ideas for social change.

We’re joined by Bill Macbeth from the Textile Centre of Excellence. The Textile Centre of Excellence In Huddersfield is a private, not-for-profit business.

The board is made up of local business leaders from textile manufacturers that, both locally and globally, supply the world’s premier fashion houses and technical fabric markets. They also provide training for the textile industry with apprenticeships and a range of courses on offer to help keep the textile industry alive. Bill will be telling us about the history of the centre, and the prospects for the textile industry over the coming years.

Join us most Fridays for an informal lunchtime talk followed by a chance to discuss the topic of the day or anything else that is on your mind, in small breakout rooms. Starting at 1pm and finished by 1.45pm, you can enjoy your Friday lunch break with inspiring speakers and interesting colleagues.
