Join the RSA US for an important conversation on how to make leadership more inclusive.

Following our March event with AIGA NY, we’re delighted to welcome Rama Gheerawo, and a panel of leaders, for a virtual conversation on creating leadership through inclusivity.

We are witnessing the failure of traditional leadership across all areas of society. Leadership seems confined to a select few with stereotypes abounding. It needs a rethink, radically and immediately. Yet, we continue to see mechanistic and reductive leadership in action every day. As a society we need to look to more creative and inclusive models of leadership that will allow us to "expand our leadership to include unheard voices" and to "inject a little joy into one's day, every day". This session will discuss three values that can help you evolve and expand your leadership capabilities.

This virtual salon will bring together a conversation between a diverse group of design leaders that do not fit one mold. Rama Gheerawo, the Director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design and author of "Creative Leadership: Born from Design'', will lead a conversation with Minnie Moll, CEO of the Design Council (UK), and Christopher Patnoe, Head of Accessibility and Disability Inclusion, EMEA @ Google.

They will discuss what is currently missing most from leadership, how leadership can become more inclusive of leaders of all ages, abilities, genders and races and the role that you can play in evolving the leadership landscape.

RSA US Virtual Salons usually occur on the fourth Thursday of each month; they aim to create open dialogue and a space for RSA US Fellows to connect across geography over the issues of our times. Join a Salon to get to know other RSA US Fellows and our interests, passions, and perspectives. Salons are supported through the moderation of a volunteer to ensure that a diversity of voices are heard. We invite all Fellows to join this discussion to deepen the ways we can connect with each other across the country!
