The RSA, with the Future Cities Community Hub and the Winchester School of Art, are joining forces to celebrate World Earth Day on 22 April, and showcase the interactive concept of the Living Library.

The Living Library redefines the traditional concept of a library by featuring real people as its "books." Unlike conventional libraries, these "books" are individuals who share their expertise and life experiences across various fields.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to interact with these human books, gaining invaluable insights and first-hand knowledge from individuals who bring their personal narratives and expertise to life.

Each person selected serves to provide insights into stories of change and betterment of earth-related topics and how more effective design can be a powerful tool for action.

The featured “Book Titles” will include:

  • Tracey Bush: Wombling, Making Art using Waste paper
  • Linda Mackie: Resource Management
  • Dr Alan Wong FRSA: Designing more sustainable and liveable cities

Among many others…

This event will feature a daytime showcase 1-6pm followed by an informal networking and drinks reception from 6-8pm. This event is open to Fellows and friends and is free to attend.
