Mentor the next generation
At the RSA, we are committed to making a difference in society. With a long-standing legacy of creating social impact, we unite people and places to build a better world.
The RSA Mentoring Programme empowers Fellows to broaden their horizons by accessing diverse perspectives and building strong, new connections. Shape the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs and inspire meaningful social change.
RSA Fellows can mentor other Fellows between the ages of 18 and 35. Mentors can opt in to mentoring either a young Fellow (18-25) or a young professional (26-35).
If you’re already an RSA Fellow, you can choose to be a mentor to individuals of either of these groups by updating your mentor profile.
The RSA Mentoring Programme is open exclusively to RSA Fellows.
I’m being mentored myself as well and have benefited greatly from it… I didn’t realise how rewarding it would be.
Why should you become a mentor?
- Contributing to the success of others – contribute to the professional and personal growth of others.
- Legacy – create a lasting impact on the next generation of professionals.
- Leadership development – enhance your coaching, mentoring, and leadership.
- Continuous learning – gain new insights and perspectives by sharing your knowledge and experiences.
- Innovation and adaptation – stay relevant by gaining fresh perspectives and ideas from mentees.
- Cultural competency – develop a deeper understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives.
- Personal satisfaction – experience the profound satisfaction of seeing your mentee succeed.
- Rejuvenated passion – rediscover your enthusiasm for your field by sharing your knowledge and inspiring others.
RSA Fellows can choose to mentor other Fellows from two different mentee categories. These are:
Young Fellows | Young Professionals |
Aged 18–25 | Aged 26-35 |
Often in higher education or early stages of their career | Typically established in a career and have industry experience |
In the process of defining their personal and professional identities | Need to balance their personal and professional responsibilities |
Would like to build confidence in their sector of interest | Looking to deepen their expertise through cross-sector connections |
Looking to gain exposure to experienced knowledge and new ideas | Seeking advanced mentoring and opportunities to refine their knowledge |
Sound good? We certainly think so. Sign up to the RSA Mentoring Programme today and get on board.
