Almost 20% of new Fellows joined the RSA in 2024 thanks to a recommendation. Yours matters.

Thanks to Fellows like you, we’re building a stronger, more connected RSA community. Those connections drive deeper collaboration, new perspectives, and real-world solutions to pressing challenges in a turbulent world.

As one of our strongest advocates, you can support the RSA by helping to grow our Fellowship.

Nominate a Fellow today

It only takes a minute. Start someone’s journey by supporting the RSA with our mission.

Why nominate someone for RSA Fellowship?

Two people stand together, looking through a book or magazine at an indoor event. Other attendees are visible in the blurred background, engaging in conversation and reading materials—perhaps discussing how to nominate an RSA Fellow.
  • Strengthen the RSA community – Every new Fellow brings unique ideas, lived experiences, and compelling insights. Help us build connections across areas of interest.
  • Support social impact – Fellows enjoy captivating events, cutting-edge research and the multi-award-winning RSA Journal.
  • Collaboration opportunities – A larger, diverse Fellowship means stronger online networks leading to more local meetups, and shared knowledge and projects.
  • Diversify the conversation – By nominating Fellows from different backgrounds, industries, and regions, you’re helping shape a richer and more inclusive dialogue about the future.
  • Access to the RSA Mentoring Programme for intergenerational insight-sharing
  • Invitations to local and international Fellow-led events
  • Thought leadership through the RSA Journal and speaker opportunities
  • A platform to amplify their work and ideas
  • A place in a value-driven, global community

Hear it straight from the RSA Fellowship…

Lynsey Shaw FRSA

A woman with wavy hair, wearing a sparkly black top, smiles at the camera. She is indoors, with a brick wall, a painting, and a lamp in the background. The image is in black and white.

In 2020, singer-songwriter, producer, and multimedia storyteller Lynsey Shaw joined the RSA Fellowship. After completing her MA in Film and Cultural Heritage and spending time working in the US, she was keen to reconnect with a creative community.

If you want to improve something, you have to contribute. When you act, like-minded people are drawn to you. You need people to make change and being a Fellow helped me get heard.

Fred Bassett FRSA

A middle-aged man with short gray hair and glasses, wearing a dark button-up shirt, stands indoors and smiles softly at the camera; the background is blurred with a bright window and indistinct figures.

Commercial strategist and entrepreneur Fred Bassett became an RSA Fellow in 2001 after advising on an RSA conference about the internet’s impact on creative industries. Two decades later, Fred has rediscovered the RSA’s ability to build a local network that can inspire and generate action.

You get out of this network what you put in. If you engage actively – attending events, contributing ideas – you’ll find the RSA gives back more than you invest.

Who should you nominate?

Do you know someone who is…

  • Building grassroots initiatives for community regeneration?
  • Leading ethical innovation in their field?
  • Passionate about education, equity, or environmental change?
  • Inspiring others and seeking a platform to grow?

Ready to nominate?

Your community may already hold the RSA’s next bold thinker, creative whirlwind, or thought pioneer. Let’s welcome them into a space where ideas grow, connections flourish, and impact is made.

More Fellows. More possibilities.
