Lira Luis
Lira is a Programmatic Councillor.
Lira Luis, FRIBA, FRSA, NCARB, RA, LEED AP, CEM is a Chicago-based architect and systems-thinking executive working at the intersection of architecture, innovation, and civic leadership. She serves as an RSA Programmatic Councillor, collaborating with RSA staff to strengthen programmes and embed Fellows in work that links social infrastructure to the built environment, sustainability, and public impact across borders.
Lira is a Principal Architect & Practice Leader of ALLL and the thinktank, Leapfrog Project, where she leads sustainability-forward work across strategy, delivery, and stakeholder alignment, with experience spanning P&L stewardship and funding pathways. She is also the founder of Architect of Things (AoT), an interdisciplinary platform for conversations that bring architects, artists, technologists, and decision-makers into the same room.
A graduate of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin (M.Arch) and the University of Santo Tomas (BSArch cum laude), Lira is recognised for leadership and advocacy in climate action, equity, and design excellence, with honours including Fellow of The RIBA, ENR Midwest Top 20 Under 40, the AIA Athena Leadership Award, and a DANDI Award for environment and sustainability.
