Background

The Belfast Cities of Learning project supports the city’s excellent sector training academies in better recognising achievement of learners and helping them to progress.

We are working with Belfast Council to deeply embed digital badging within the Council’s core offer, with a view to subsequently bringing a wider ecosystem of providers and employers onboard, particularly in key sectors such as digital and green skills.

A building with modern, angular architecture featuring textured walls is creatively integrated into a geometric design with shapes in teal, orange, and black outlines.

Working in partnership

Led by Belfast City Council’s Place and Economy Department who are leading by example by applying the Cities of Learning badging approach to their core council employability provision within transport, care, customer service, professional services and entrepreneurship.
