Co-founder, Thailand Clean Air Network

Weenarin is a global citizen who has lived and worked in over 30 countries spanning different regions globally. She is driven by the passion to do what is needed to leave a more livable and inhabitable planet for the next generation.  Weenarin is a co-founder of the Thailand Clean Air Network (or Thailand CAN), a citizen-driven volunteer group that includes professionals from multi-disciplinary fields to support policy solutions to the air pollution crisis in Thailand.  Thailand CAN has developed the first citizen-led Clean Air Bill that has been submitted to the Thai Parliament awaiting deliberation for passage into law.  Weenarin was formerly with the World Bank Group based in Washington D.C.  In that role, she led corporate and project financing transactions in developing countries and also provided policy advisory services to various government counterparts.  More recently, Weenarin co-authored the development of the Thai SME assessment report for the World Bank & supported Thailand's private sector development strategy paper, which aided in the development of the country's 13th national development plan.  She also co-authored the first white research paper on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) risks for the Thai banking sector.  This paper had served as an important tool to help elevate the sustainability performance of the Thai banking sector.  Weenarin has also provided advisory services on corporate governance issues in Thailand and has worked for the Thai corporate sector as well as managed the international reserves at the Central Bank of Thailand during the Asian financial crisis.
