Being part of a global network

Demonstrating the benefits of being part of a global network, UK based FRSA Peter McGee enjoyed meeting Tokyo-based Fellows during a visit to Japan.

Sharing his experience on his return, McGee wrote:

If you believe in positive networking, then a good example is during a recent trip to Japan to attend a family wedding (my wife is Japanese). Whilst there I was invited by local RSA Fellows to give an informal introduction on Forensic Linguistics, my professional field. The group consisted of 15 persons, including an architect, a law professor, a communications specialist, and a filmmaker. What was very evident was that despite their different professions, they were all interested in sharing their experiences and seeing how they could help each other. I have remained in close contact with the group since the meeting and receive frequent emails. I would like to thank the Tokyo RSA group for their kind hospitality and look forward to seeing them again. This has re-affirmed my belief of the potential of the Fellowship network to facilitate global connections.
