RSA Fellows are invited to this action-focused event led by Surrey Climate Commission, exploring the blockages to preventing transformational change.
Date and time: Thursday 28 September, 18:30-22:00 BST
Location: The Leatherhead Theatre & Cinema, 7 Church Street Leatherhead KT22 8DN
Tickets: Available on a donation basis.
Extraordinary efforts are being made to avert climate catastrophe but not – most would agree – at the scale or speed needed. This September, RSA Fellows at the Surrey Climate Commission invite you to join them for an explorative discussion to consider what's blocking the change needed and what can be done locally.
The speakers include Lord Deben (Chairperson of the UK Climate Change Committee 2012-2023), Natalie Bennett (Green Party Peer) and Ed Straw (author and expert in governance and systems thinking).
Agenda:
- 6.30pm - event start
- 6.30- 8.45pm - panel discussion and Q&A
- 8.45-10pm - discussion and networking
- 10pm - event close
After the event, the team will email attendees about the opportunities to join follow-up sessions and be part of something bigger.
This Fellow-led partnership event will be hosted by the Surrey Climate Commission and the Institute for Sustainability. One of the organisers is David Cope FRSA – RSA Fellow and member of the RSA Fellow-led Sustainability Network Steering Group.
Tickets are available on a donation basis. Attendees are only asked to pay as much as they can afford.
