Persona Arts, a brand-new arts company based in the West Midlands, is looking for candidates to become Trustees.

Persona Arts, which has grown out of BJ Music Events, will stage high quality opera, classical and choral music, workshops, performances and productions for the benefit of communities in the West Midlands and across the UK.

From community venues to schools, Persona Arts aims to encourage and inspire new audiences across a wide and diverse demographic. As a Black-led organisation, Persona Arts are committed to providing opportunities for singers, musicians, orchestras and creative artists to perform and develop their craft in a supportive and educational environment. They aim to showcase the wealth of urban and community talent to the highest level and to champion diversity, equity and inclusion for children, young people and adults.

Over the next 5-10 years, Persona Arts aims to deliver a programme of events to fulfil this mission in collaboration with existing local and national arts organisations.

Board experience would be beneficial but not essential, as well as the ability to work with people and local communities for social change and unity. If you are interested in this position, please contact Byron Jackson at info@byron-jackson.com.
