Inspiring social change through design thinking

The RSA Pupil Design Awards is a free, national design competition for secondary school and sixth-form pupils aged 11-17, where participants are encouraged to use their creativity and imagination to tackle real challenges facing people and the planet. 

Key dates 2020-21

  • Sept 2020: Competition opens
  • Nov: Teacher workshops
  • Feb-Mar 2021: Mentor sessions with schools
  • 19 Apr: Submissions open
  • 28 May: Submissions close
  • Jun/Jul: Judging sessions and award ceremony
