We always recommend using a legal professional if you're thinking of writing or amending a Will. However, if you're thinking about leaving a legacy to The RSA, our friendly team are here to help. Or if you've already left us a gift and have any questions, we'd love to hear from you.
Wills and legacies
Leave a gift in your will
Help us to drive forward positive social change and make long-lasting impact for future generations.
Why leave a legacy gift?
We support others to grow and learn – whether we are encouraging young designers with motivating prizes and awards, fuelling programmes for social entrepreneurship or creating more opportunities for disenfranchised youth groups, the work we undertake has clear and positive societal impact.
As a registered charity, we rely on donations and legacies in order to continue our work.
The gift in your will can be as little as one percent of your estate and will make an important contribution to continuing work which aims to resolve pressing local and global challenges.
Amending your will
You can change your will to include a donation to the RSA.
If you have already made a will and would like to make a gift to the RSA in your will you can do this by completing the codicil and signing it before two adult witnesses (not beneficiaries of the will) who also then sign the codicil. The codicil should then be kept with your will (not attached with pins or staples) in a safe place or with a trusted friend or solicitor.
As a registered charity, making a gift in your will is tax efficient as this gift is exempt from inheritance tax.
Thank you for your support.
