RSA US Regional ambassadors

Each of our regional hubs across the US is supported by an Ambassador, who is an RSA US Fellow that has taken on a community organizer role in their local area.

Anastasia Ostrowski FRSA

Anastasia Ostrowski FRSA

Anastasia K. Ostrowski is a design researcher, empowering under-represented populations in technology development, such as older adults, to design social robots and advocating for more human-centered, mixed-method approaches in technology design. As a Boston Ambassador, she is eager to create more participatory experiences for fellows to learn from one another, gain feedback, and implement change in their local communities.

Jason is an Economist within the U.S. Department of Transportation. A former U.S. Marine, Jason spent a number of years as a congressional staffer before finding his current finance focused career path.

Kat Calvin FRSA

Kat Calvin is the Founder and Executive Director of Spread The Vote and the Co-Founder and CEO of the Project ID Action Fund. A lawyer, activist, and social entrepreneur, Kat has built a national organization that helps Americans obtain the IDs they need for jobs, housing, and life and that also allows them to go to the polls.

Deepthi Welaratna FRSA

Deepthi is the Founder and Principal of Thicket Labs, and is currently helping to launch Courage California - an initiative to streamline access to voting information. She has a background in marketing and communcations, having led offices responsible for those efforts in the venture capital, and startup ecosystems.

Ashish Prashar FRSA

Ashish is the Senior Director of Global Communications for Publicis Sapient. A native of the UK, Ashish had a long career in politics in his home country, including managing communications for, current UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson's 2008 and 2012 campaigns for the mayorship of London. He's also worked for former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and the 2008 campaign for US President Barack Obama.

Ashish has been using his platform to fight for prison reform and frequently writes for publications like Business Insider, and The New European.

Aisha Fukushima FRSA

Aisha Fukuskima is a singer, speaker, educator, and founder of RAPtivism (Rap Activism), a hip hop project spanning 20 countries, amplifying universal efforts for freedom and justice. Fukushima is excited to explore questions of how to build more just, vibrant and sustainable cities for the future as RSA's Philadelphia Ambassador.

Melissa Barker FRSA

Melissa M. Barker is the Founder & CEO of The Phoenix Project, a social impact startup focused on healing and empowering survivors of gendered violence and assault.

As the San Francisco Ambassador, she is eager to bridge tech and social good in the areas of trauma healing and transformative care.

Jaylena D. Lomenech FRSA

Jaylena is a Customer Service Specialist at Salesforce (for full disclosure, Salesforce is the management tool RSA uses for Fellowship communication and data management). She is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, and beyond, and helped RSA US develop our anti-racism framework.

Jaylena was recently named a Fellowship Councillor, the advisory body that represents the global Fellowship to the RSA board.

Hosan Lee FRSA

Hosan Lee works at the intersection of social innovation, technology, and experience design. Her latest project is focused on building an action-oriented think tank bridging global networks of academics, researchers, and journalists with designers, technologists, and community leaders who are passionate about finding new solutions to today’s shifting political realities.

She serves on the Global Fellowship Council and is the Founding Chair of the U.S. Fellowship Council for the RSA, a UK-based global network of 30,000 social changemakers. She also serves on the Tech Advisory Board of Atlas Corp, a global leadership development program for some of the world’s most promising social change professionals. Read more at

Nate Wong FRSA

Nate Wong, FRSA, is the chief strategy & social innovation officer at Georgetown University’s Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation. Prior to joining the Beeck Center, Nate helped launch and direct two social impact units on the vanguard of redefining business and societal value to drive social change: one at Deloitte Consulting/Monitor Deloitte and at Boston Consulting Group’s non-profit, the Centre for Public Impact in the US where he served as Deputy Director. In addition to his RSA Fellowship, Nate is a Fellow of the Centre for Public Impact, and is a member of the board of several non-profits including the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition and CharityVest.
