Hameed Haroon, CEO of Dawn newspaper group, presents a short sharp look at issues in Pakistan, particularly the letting down of he young.
In this interview, Hameed Haroon outlines many of the problems and challenges Pakistan faces today. Hareed is CEO of Dawn newspaper group and president of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society. He has been an outspoken advocate for the freedom of the press and writes widely on arts, culture and history in Pakistan.
Hameed serves on various civic committees including Mohatta Palace Gallery Trust, Lahore Museum, Development of Mohenjadaro, Committee for the Protection and Preservation of Cultural Heritage Monuments, and the National Cultural Heritage Committee. He was awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan’s highest civil award in 2004 in recognition for his contribution to promote art and culture.
