Fellowship Councillors play a key role in ensuring that Fellows are at the heart of the work the RSA undertakes, and we deliver impact.

The purpose of the Fellowship Council is three-fold, to:

  • Lead, support and build fellowship activity in your area, building connections and communities of Fellows that support the RSA’s vision and values.
  • Support RSA programmes and projects.
  • Represent the views of the wider Fellowship.

There are two types of Fellowship Councillors: Area or Programmatic Councillors.

Area Councillors work closely with Fellowship Engagement Managers and Volunteer Community Leaders to build and shape local activity. Area Councillors work hard to understand the views, needs and interests of Fellows in their local area and make connections.

Programmatic Councillors collaborate with RSA staff to support RSA programmes of work. Programmatic Councillors will offer their expertise to help inform and strengthen programmes and ensure Fellows are connected to and embedded in that work.
