The RSA Journal has continued its winning streak of successes by triumphing in the Astrid Awards, which recognise outstanding achievement in corporate design.

In total, the RSA and its publishing partner, Wardour, won four awards across Astrid’s video and magazine cover categories. The Journal achieved both a Grand Award and a Gold Award for its ‘Can democracy survive AI?’ video (published with Audrey Tang’s Democracy in the age of AI article) plus a Bronze Award for the Courageous Governance cover (issue 2 2024) and Honours for the RSA’s 270th anniversary cover (issue 1 2024).

The Astrid Awards have been running since 1991 and celebrate the best in international design communications. Judging was carried out by leading designers, art directors and graphic artists from agencies around the world.

Vicky Kington, RSA Director of Content and Communications, described the award successes as “another fantastic accolade” for the Journal.

“We are delighted that the design of the Journal’s videos and covers has been recognised in this way. It is a demonstration of the effort and inspiration that goes into the Journal – both in print and in its increasingly innovative digital output,” she added.
