What to expect from the Oceania Fellows Festival event
Join RSA Oceania and the RSA Sustainability Network for our 2025 Fellows Festival event on 19 May from 6pm – 7pm AEST (9am – 10am BST), exploring social connections in a more-than-human world. This is an online event held via Zoom.
We live in a deeply relational world. In this event, we explore how to create “communities of care” that support human relationships and our relationships with our non-human kin. Together, we will discuss how we can enlarge our “ethics of care” to include the more-than-human world and what this means for our social connections.
Dr Louise Whitaker (Associate Professor, Social Work at Southern Cross University) and Dr Wendy Steele (Professor in Sustainability and Critical Urban Governance at RMIT University) will lead a fascinating discussion on building communities of care in a more-than-human world.
