How is generative AI reshaping creativity and what does it mean for artists’ rights?

As artificial intelligence (AI) transforms the creative landscape, artists and technologists are facing urgent questions about authorship, ethics, and the future of artistic work. This collaborative event, hosted by the Graphic Artists Guild, Society of Illustrators, and the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Network (RAIN), led by Fellows of the RSA, invites you to join a live, in-person and livestreamed conversation that goes beyond the hype. Together, we’ll explore how AI is reshaping the arts and what it means for creative professionals today.

This forum brings together experts in visual art, AI ethics, and policy to discuss key issues including intellectual property, emerging AI regulations in the U.S. and abroad, and the potential of collective licensing. With space for audience Q&A and open dialogue, the event aims to offer not just insights, but a sense of agency and direction for artists navigating this evolving space.

Join the conversation in person at the Society of Illustrators or online via livestream on June 11th, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM ET. Panelists include Carl Cleanthes, Ismael Kherroubi Garcia, Rebecca Blake, Tim O’Brien, and host Sir Michael Allan Galvez. This is a nonpartisan, educational event and the views shared do not represent official positions of the Society of Illustrators, Graphic Artists Guide, or the RSA.
