Leading social and political theorist David Marquand argues that money, greed and selfishness have taken over our society.

Since the financial crisis of 2008, we have heard much about the failures of bankers, regulators and politicians. But Marquand sees a much wider issue - the fall of the public realm.

Has our individualist social model destroyed our values? And if so, what can we do about it?

Speaker: David Marquand, political philosopher and author of Mammon’s Kingdom: An Essay on Britain, Now

Chair: Matthew Taylor, RSA Chief Executive
