RSA Screens with Channel 4

A probing documentary from award-winning film director Alison Millar.

Child and adolescent mental health services have seen a rise in demand coinciding with a nationwide squeeze on public spending. Select committee and government taskforce reports have identified a system in crisis; there are concerns surrounding access to early intervention and, increasingly, parents are finding themselves separated from their children in psychiatric units hundreds of miles from home.

This documentary film from Channel 4 Dispatches and director Alison Millar focuses on the experience of families with children suffering from mental health problems – in tough economic times, how can we ensure young people get the support they need?

The screening and panel discussion will be followed by networking drinks.

Dispatches is Channel 4’s award-winning investigative current affairs programme.
