What to expect from the Cardiff Fellows Festival event

Join us in person in Cardiff on 15 May from 18:00 until 21:00 for an evening on the theme of ‘connections’, unpacking how language can bridge divides and shape our collective futures. Afterwards, stay for a drink and enjoy the conversation until 21:00.

RSA Fellowship Councillor, Anna Nicholl will lead a captivating discussion with an extraordinary panel of thinkers and storytellers.

Anna will be in conversation with theatre director Iwan Brioc, policy expert David Clubb and creative writer Kate North. Drawing on extensive experience, they’ll examine the potency of words to unite or fracture our communities.

Rooted in the rich heritage of Welsh literature yet infused with the fresh energy of today’s boldest voices, this evening is a celebration of those who speak up and sing out, challenging narratives and amplifying diverse experiences. We’ll consider the interplay between poetry and data, performance and wordplay, memoir and social media… and beyond.

Be part of an interactive conversation — one that invites you not just to listen, but to reflect, engage, and contribute. Continue the discussion over a well-earned drink and hwyl at the bar, as we raise a glass to a future where people, places, and planet flourish in harmony.

Early bird tickets start from £8 and are available until 09:30 on 31 March (regional variations apply). Standard ticket pricing starts on 31 March, so don’t miss out.

A maximum of two tickets can be bought in one booking. Please note that you will need to supply guest contact details and any dietary allergies or intolerances.

We can’t wait to share the full agenda with you in the coming weeks. Updates will be featured in the Fellows Festival 2025 area on the RSA website.
