Shaping the Future: Regenerative Vision for Architecture and Urban Planning
Join us for the second event in our Architecture and Urban Planning Group on The Steps on 3rd June from 1-2pm. After an exciting start to launch our new group, it’s time to explore our collective hopes and ambitions for our sector/industry/environments.
We want to hear from you about your aspirations for architecture and urban planning, and how you feel this group could support our industry. What do we need to be working on together? What are the challenges of our industry? What’s the untapped potential we want to realise?
We will be deepening our exploration of the new and unfolding potential role that architecture and urban planning can play in shaping climate resilient environments in the context of the polycrisis. We’ll look at the growing interest in regenerative design and development in our field of work. We’ll also share a mapping project we have begun of all the emerging projects and experiments that are moving beyond sustainability towards regeneration. Jenny Andersson of Really Regenerative will share some more perspectives through the lens of living systems, in an interactive participatory process to give us all an experience of a living systems mind. Silviu Pirvu of Optimal Cities will share ways to nurture collaboration to boost skill development, regenerate and humanise placemaking. We look forward to meeting with you all again in what will be a collective, contributory conversation about the future.
