Greater London Lightning Talks
Join the RSA and the Greater London Project for an evening of lightning talks in The Tavern Room on the 9th of July. Come along to hear Fellows and other Londoners talk about an idea or a project they’re working on to make a difference to the city.
Themes we’ll be talking about:
– What is great about London?
– What could be better? How could we make that happen?
– What can we learn from other cities across the world?
– What’s one amazing innovation that everyone should know about?
London is a big city – interpret it broadly. You don’t just have to talk about the physical place – its society, economy and culture are just as important! And we’re after ideas both big and small.
Anyone is welcome to come and just listen to the talks. But we also want people to come and speak.
We want to hear from anyone – whether you’ve given a lightning talk before, or this is your first time. Speakers will each get to speak for five minutes. If you want to give a short talk of your own on any idea you have, email founders@greaterlondon.co to sign up.
Speakers are allowed one slide each, and only if it’s to show some kind of data or important visual! You can use the event to raise awareness about something you’re working on, or get help for something you want support on.
If you want to speak, let us know the title of your talk, what you want to talk about, and your contact details in case people want to get in touch with you about your event. If you have one slide you want to use (with an image or data) then please share that.
The Greater London Project is a community group of Londoners celebrating the things that make London great, and working to make it even greater. Its members are writing about and working on projects to increase the abundance of good housing, good public transport, safer streets, and a more vibrant social fabric.
