RSA Creativity in Public Services Network Event

Fellowship Event

 -

The RSA, London

  • Creativity
  • Public services
  • Fellowship

Join the RSA's Creativity in Public Services Network event to discuss whether we should be creatively digital or digitally creative.

Digital transformation is a buzzword round the public services, but is it the friend or foe of creativity? Come along to this session for several quick-fire presentations on digital initiatives in different sectors, and for discussion and networking about what digital can do to improve the experience of customers and producers in public services.

Speakers:

  • Catherine Little from housing association SOHA, who are doing exciting things using digital to enable tenant participation, digital inclusion, and presenting a positive narrative about people who live in social housing.
  • Hayley Khan from Virtual College, on their work developing innovative learning technologies.

This event is free to attend but please do register. For more information, please contact Martin Wheatley FRSA at martinwheatley10@virginmedia.com.

About this Network

The Creativity in Public Services Network exists to enable Fellows to explore how to make the design and operation of public policy and services (defined broadly) more open to creative approaches, and to do so through events which are themselves creative in their format.  Our normal format is to co-design each meeting with an invited partner who is interested in a mutually informative dialogue with members of the network.  Our meetings last year used creative methods to explore new approaches to the disposal of human remains after death, the use of structured methods to promote creativity in public service management, and, as input to the RSA’s Inclusive Growth Commission, how to promote social justice alongside economic growth.  We also hold occasional more informal networking meetings.

Location: Romney Room, The RSA, 8 John Adam Street, London, WC2N 6EZ

Coronavirus:

We strongly urge all event attendees to refer to the guidelines and protocols as suggested by the UK public health authorities regarding the virus.

  • If you have any concerns, or are feeling unwell, please reconsider your attendance at an RSA event.
  • If you have recently returned from travel to an affected area, current guidance is to self-quarantine. Please do not attend the RSA event in this case.

Should public health advice change, event cancellations may be necessary; under such circumstances event attendees will be notified of cancellations by email as soon as possible.
