RSA Inequality in Education Network: Learning About Culture

Fellowship Event 2 Comments

 -

The RSA, London

  • Fellowship

Come along to this month's RSA Inequality in Education Network event to discuss the RSA's Learning About Culture project.

The key topic for the evening will be the RSA's Learning About Culture project, which will investigate the benefits that schools derive from arts and cultural activity. Central to the programme is a joint investigation with the Education Endowment Foundation into the impact cultural learning has on disadvantaged children's attainment and non-cognitive development. The discussion will be led by Mark Londesborough, who is leading the project for the RSA.

Issues being discussed will include:

  • The programme of scientific enquiry and wider qualitative research that will provide a fuller picture of how and why cultural learning ‘works’ for schools;
  • Opportunities and mechanisms for the Fellowship to engage with the programme, inform the debate, and work with us to help bridge from research into practice.

This event is free to attend but please do book your place at the top of this page so we know that you're joining us.

Any questions, please contact the network lead, John Bayley: jbayley1961@gmail.com

To let us know of any access requirements you have, please email the RSA team: networks@rsa.org.uk

Location: The Romney Room, RSA House, 8 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6EZ
