Join the RSA at this online event to discuss ways to create a more sustainable future. David Wilcox will be In ConveRSAtion with Citizens’ Economic Council Programme Manager Reema Patel, drawing on her experience of how citizens can influence economic policy. Fellows from across the world are invited to contribute to the discussion. The event will be recorded, capturing the presentation as well as others' questions and contributions.
The RSA Citizens' Economic Council programme aims to make the case for citizen voice in influencing national economic policy. The programme has produced a prospectus for a more democratic economic debate, published a DIY economic toolkit to help people understand economics and take action, run a series of workshops through its Economic Inclusion Roadshow as well as through running an extended citizens’ jury – the Council itself - and has set up an online crowdsourcing platform to gather further ideas.
On Tuesday 18 July Programme Manager Reema Patel will describe the programme’s work, explain how you may use the toolkit in your community, and invite further ideas. This online events forum enables guests to participate in the conversation live and share ideas.
You can join the event live via the Zoom conferencing system. All you need is an internet-connected device with a webcam and a headset, plus a decent internet connection and a quiet place to call from. There’s also a telephone back-up option. Details to join the call will be sent once you book your place.
Questions can also be submitted in advance via the Fellows’ Forum. If you are a RSA Fellow and not yet a member of the Forum, register here - you’ll need your Fellowship number to hand.
The call will be recorded and available online subsequently: please don't say anything you wouldn't want others to hear, including in small-group conversations. By registering for the event and joining on the day, you are agreeing to be recorded.
