The mission of the RSA is to enrich society, creating the conditions for the enlightened thinking and collaborative action needed to address today's most pressing social challenges. With 29,000 Fellows around the world, the RSA shares powerful ideas, carries out cutting-edge research, builds networks and opportunities for people to collaborate, and helps to create a flourishing society.

A group of RSA Fellows in the Tees Valley want to act as a catalyst to create a local, vibrant, and dynamic network and would like to invite you to an inaugural launch event with special guest, Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen.

The creation of the position of Elected Mayor for the Tees Valley and subsequent devolution deal is a potential game changer in the development of the region: a catalyst for commercial, cultural, and societal renewal. Ben will outline his vision, challenges, and opportunities prior to an interactive discussion exploring these issues.

It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the RSA, and how you could become a RSA Fellow and join a creative and innovative group of people looking for new ways to make a positive, local contribution. There will be informal opportunities to share your ideas and discuss opportunities for developing a sustainable RSA network in the Tees Valley Region.
