RSA Birmingham: Fourth Industrial Revolution - Learning and Skills

Fellowship Event

Impact Hub, Birmingham

Join us for RSA Birmingham: Fourth Industrial Revolution. This event will be focused on Learning and Skills.

In 2018 we will be exploring and learning from ways in which entrepreneurs, innovators, makers and citizens in and around Birmingham are responding to advances in technology which together herald the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

From the Internet of Things to biotechnology, Big Data analytics to 3D printing, artificial intelligence to energy storage, 4IR will challenge long-held assumptions about the ways in which we live, work and learn, and even the meaning of value and reward. How can we make sure 4IR responds to our most important human needs and contributes to outcomes that really matter?

Following last month’s focus on design and manufacture, our quest to find some answers continues on Wednesday 23rd May, 6pm-8pm at Impact Hub Birmingham, with an event designed to explore Learning and Skills in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Do you have a project, idea or innovation to share? Could you be a guide for this adventure? You might wish to show a video, host a conversation, make a micro-presentation, pop-up an exhibition - anything which you feel will help navigate a way through this fast-changing landscape. If so, we’d love to hear from you: please contact Area Manager, Abigail Campbell, by 5pm on 4th May.

If you’re interested in coming along please book your place (above).

To let us know of any access requirements or reasonable adjustments you have, please email the RSA team: [email protected]. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

PS The journey continues on:

  • Wed 18 July, 6pm-8pm at Impact Hub Birmingham (Living and Working – including a look at Universal Basic Income).

Location: Impact Hub, Walker Building, 58 Oxford St, Birmingham B5 5NR
