EVENT CANCELLED: In ConveRSAtion: The Future of Gender

Fellowship Event

 -

Community Base, Brighton

  • Fellowship
  • Fellowship in Action

The Future of Gender will be a leading-edge panel conveRSAtion between three speakers with a high investment in where gender is moving to; an issue which affects us all.

Please note this event is now cancelled and will be rearranged for a future date.

Ugla Stefania Kristjonudottir Jonsdottir is an Icelandic trans.non-binary activist, writer and film-maker who works with their partner, Fox Fisher, to educate and inform on issues of gender and equality.

Mariam Crichton is a senior manager in the tech/digital world, which works with a strong masculine dominance. She is also a speaker on matters such as matriarchal power, an artist, meditator and student of Eastern philosophy. She has a young daughter.

Persia West is a meditation teacher, writer and speaker, who has recently introduced her podcast - with the support of the RSA and New Writing South - The Masks of Gender, which is the foundation for this event. All three speakers can be heard at themasksofgender.com.

After the panel, there will be an open discussion about where gender is going in this time of #metoo, women and power, trans visibility, and more. How can a real difference be made? What can we do?

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the team know: networks@rsa.org.uk. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

This event is a collaboration between RSA Fellowship South East and New Writing South

NEW Writing, NEW Voices, NEW Stories, NEW Platforms. New Writing South’s key objective is empowering diverse and radical new writers/writing for the future. We aim to stand out and be widely recognised across the South East (and beyond) as a place where writers from all backgrounds are nurtured and supported to develop and sustain their careers.

Location: The Conference Room, Community Base, 113 Queens Rd, Brighton BN1 3XG
