Help shape action towards creating better places to live. Voice your thoughts and share in the discussion, reflecting on and developing thinking around employment, social capital, young people, lifelong learning, kinder societies, sustainability and community.

The event aims to be a catalyst to solve real issues and generate solutions that will grow your knowledge, support your work or project, and create action.

The event is for everyone and we actively encourage youth perspective and participation. Members of the public, RSA Fellows, and young people aged 14-plus are invited to come together, and generate big strategies and small steps towards better living places. What is a great living place?

Facilitated by RSA Fellows Alison Edmonds and Rhiannon-Jane Raftery, we’ll invite you to reflect, comment and collaborate on topics that drive strong communities:

  • More meaningful employment opportunities
  • Lifelong learning
  • Social capital
  • Sustainable practice as standard
  • Children's development and future
  • Community collaboration
  • Kinder society

Choose the areas that resonate with you. Develop ideas, join the dots and find new ways forward together, whilst meeting new people and learning about an inclusive society.

Communities can be changed by those who occupy them – every change comes from big ideas and many small steps. Our ideas will be gathered and shared with policy leaders, regional influences, and new and existing RSA Fellow project leaders. We’ll ask you to make a pledge: a commitment to any small action that helps us move forward. Great change starts with many small steps - join us and drive momentum.
