RSA Engage: Swansea

Fellowship Event

 -

Cinema and Co, Swansea

  • Fellowship
  • Fellowship in Action

Join us on 9 September to discover and support inspiring projects which apply entrepreneurial thinking to create a positive social, economic or environmental impact. This event is a partnership with UnLtd.

In 1754, William Shipley founded the RSA with a belief that the creativity of ideas could enrich social progress. Over 250 years later, we’ve taken inspiration and developed a series of Engage events across the UK to engage with, encourage, and support our RSA Fellowship community to turn ideas into action.

RSA ENGAGE FORMAT

A mix of projects will be “pitched”, followed by an opportunity for you to ask questions, find out more from the people driving these ideas forward and volunteer your support in networking sessions.

DO YOU HAVE A "CALL TO ACTION"?

RSA Engage provides a brilliant platform to ignite and share ideas. If you are working on a new initiative or have a project that’s aligned with the RSA that you want to share and seek support from an informed and connected audience, apply to give a three-minute pitch. Applications are open until 10am on Thursday 22 August. Apply to pitch here.

Support and advice for shaping your three-minute call to action will also be available before the event.

The event will also provide a chance to make new connections, and to contribute to the mission of the RSA.

We also welcome anyone that is interested in finding out more about exciting projects in Swansea, the Fellowship, and through our partners on this event, UnLtd.

Drinks and nibbles will be available on arrival. Please note that this is a dynamic event structure and some parts are standing networking.

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the team know: [email protected]. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

Location: Cinema & Co, 17 Castle Street, Swansea, SA1 1JF

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ENGAGE SERIES

What is RSA Engage?

RSA Engage is a series of 20 events hosted around the UK which provide a space to make new connections and enable us to showcase some of the most innovative local projects. Whether you’re looking to find out more about the RSA, get involved with an exciting project, or to network with like-minded people, RSA Engage offers something for everyone.

What’s the format?

RSA Engage is a mix of three-minute project pitches and facilitated networking. Each pitch finishes with a call to action, asking the audience to share their skills and experience to help further their project. Between project pitches, there are short bursts of networking where you’ll be able to spark new connections and talk to the project pitchers about how you can support their work. This is an interactive, standing event, though limited seating may be available.

Who can attend?

Our events are open to the public and free to attend, but due to their popularity we ask that you please register in advance by following the ‘Book Now’ link at the top of this page.

Please note that there are limited spaces at this event, and we strongly encourage booking your ticket early.
