RSA Bath: Meetup - Forest Gardens

Fellowship Event

  • Fellowship in Action

Join us for our November meetup to connect with other Fellows in the Bath area.

Come along to meet with local Fellows (including some new ones!) and help develop a powerful network of people in Bath dedicated to enriching society, and shaping the future through ideas and action.

This event is a regular monthly meetup to explore and work on collaborative action by Fellows based in and around Bath. There will, as always, be the opportunity to network too.

This month we’ll hear from Paul Pivcevic FRSA about the National Forest Gardening scheme. Forest Gardens are planned, self-sustaining food systems with enormous potential both for long-term wellbeing and for education. The scheme gets people engaged in planting, eating, visiting and learning in these gardens so that as many people as possible can access them.

Forest gardens are part of a wider shift in thinking towards agroforestry in this country, whose ideas and practices are gaining traction as research shows this approach is often more productive than conventional agriculture.  They can also be used to catalyse and deepen conversations in local authority areas about how communities can get the skills needed to build climate resilience.

We look forward to seeing you there!

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the team know: [email protected]. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

Location: The Library, Apex Hotel, James St W, Bath, BA1 2DA
