How should Glasgow’s city centre adapt to ensure it can thrive in future and enhance the quality of life for all Glaswegians?

How can we plan for recovery post-Covid-19; taking this opportunity to renew and reset our ambitions for the future of (Y)our City Centre. What local solutions can we devise to address the global issues of our age - climate change, health and wellbeing, socio-economic inequalities – respecting planet, people and place?

Glasgow’s City Centre Strategy defines nine Districts to drive future economic, environmental, social and cultural performance. Glasgow City Council have recently appointed a multi-disciplinary creative team to work in collaboration with local communities (resident, business, civic, cultural) alongside local and national agencies to address these issues and prepare the last four District Regeneration Frameworks for Cowcaddens, Townhead, the ‘Learning Quarter’ and the Merchant City. These Districts, largely beyond the core city centre, present an opportunity to add to the city’s great assets and reshape Glasgow’s future.
