Join us for this month’s Newcastle Network Encounter, taking place on Wednesday 15 September, when we will hear from Christine Thomas FRSA on engaging the local community in democracy.

Christine will discuss a local community campaign in Consett and explore how the community came together, including local children, local businesses, and an array of local artists and creatives who found ways to actively contribute to the campaign or provide support free of charge. She will explain how the campaign successfully steered away from political allegiances to focus on the people and the community, and their right to have a democratic voice.

The event is free to attend and open to all, Fellows and non-Fellows. We hope you can join us!
