Please join us for this online (via Zoom) RSA Devon Café event on Tuesday 5 October.
The Café is intended to be an exchange of ideas modelled on the Socrates Cafés running worldwide, and on the Democracy Café that takes place in Salisbury.
The RSA Café will have no preset agenda and the one or two topics for discussion will be determined by participants at the start of the meeting. At our first Devon café we discussed education. This is an opportunity to discuss a local or national issue. The aim is to engage in impassioned yet thoughtful exchanges of ideas and ideals. We welcome people with a diversity of views.
The main part of the event will be the discussion, but there will be half an hour at the end to network and get to know other participants better.
The meeting is open to non-Fellows and Fellows. There is a maximum registration of 30 people for this event so please register early to avoid disappointment. If you book and are unable to attend, please let us know ASAP so places can be released to those on the waiting list.
Taking part in RSA online events
For our interactive online events, the RSA uses the platform Zoom.
To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket to receive the details to join.
Please note that for this event, latecomers who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start time will not be admitted.
We record many of our online events. By attending this online event you accept that you may appear in RSA videos as a participant. Our intention is to use any recording of this event for learning purposes and to document the content of the discussion. Currently we do not have plans to share this recording publicly, but may do so in the future.
