Inspired by the RSA’s origin in an enlightenment coffeehouse over 250 years ago, our new Northern Coffeehouse series offers an interactive space to share ideas for social change.
Join us on Friday 18 February for an informal lunchtime talk followed by a chance to discuss the topic of the day or anything else that is on your mind, in small breakout rooms. Starting at 1 pm and finishing by 1.45 pm, you can enjoy your Friday lunch break with inspiring speakers and interesting colleagues.
For our first Northern Coffeehouse session, we’re joined by Tracy Fishwick FRSA, managing director of the Transform Lives Company. In 2020, Tracy was awarded an OBE for services to unemployed people in the North West. She joins us to give a talk on the People’s Powerhouse organisation that she co-founded in 2017.
The People’s Powerhouse describe themselves as follows:
We believe that the people are the North’s true powerhouse and our diversity is our strength. We want every northerner to be heard so that they can influence the changes they want to see. We bring northerners together so that they can decide what the future of the north should look like. Together, we are a movement for change for individuals, communities, businesses and services. We strive to improve the lives of all people living in northern England. And it’s time to do things differently, to move forward together on our terms.
Join us to hear from Tracy, discuss the issues she raises, and connect with other Fellows.
