Inspired by the RSA’s origin in an enlightenment coffeehouse over 250 years ago, our new Northern Coffeehouse series offers an interactive space to share ideas for social change.

On 15 April we’re joined by Joe Rynhart from Change in a Box. Change in a Box is a social action kit for young people, taking learners on a three-step journey to learn how to be change makers.

Change in a Box was first commissioned in 2020 by The Culture Co-Op, Lancashire Youth Challenge, Lancaster University, and Curious Minds. Since then, more kits have been trialled in Lancashire, Liverpool and London. In 2022, 1,500 further young people in Lancaster will receive a special edition of Change in a Box focused on climate activism in their local area.

Join us most Fridays for an informal lunchtime talk followed by a chance to discuss the topic of the day or anything else that is on your mind, in small breakout rooms. Starting at 1pm and finished by 1.45pm, you can enjoy your Friday lunch break with inspiring speakers and interesting colleagues.
