Inspired by the RSA’s history as a social improvement organisation dating back over 250 years, our new First Friday Changemakers series offers an interactive space to share and develop ideas for social change.

We’re joined by Catriona Power from the Circular Bioeconomy Cluster South-West. In 2021, Munster Technological University (MTU), CircBio Research Group and Enterprise Ireland initiated a new first-of-a-kind regional circular bioeconomy cluster in South-West Ireland supporting enterprise profit, collaboration and training. The result was the Circular Bioeconomy Cluster, and Catriona is the project lead and contact point for the cluster based at MTU.

With a focus on marine, agriculture and waste-to-value thematic areas, they say their goal is to develop and promote the circular bioeconomy in the South-West region. The cluster brings together industry, enterprises, government and research centres to deliver unique and co-created initiatives to benefit member companies.

The cluster supports members with research and development, project development, project partner identification, talent and skills development, market connections, and funding.

Join us on the first Friday of the month for an informal talk from one of our guest speakers, followed by a chance to discuss the topic of the day or anything else on your mind, in small breakout rooms. We start at 2pm and we’ll be finished by 2.45pm, allowing you to enjoy your Friday afternoon with inspiring speakers and interesting colleagues.
