  • Arts and culture

Join a new exclusive two-hour escorted tour with short talks for RSA Fellows and guests of the award-winning sculpture park and galleries at the New Art Centre Roche Court.

Set in over sixty acres of beautiful parkland in the Wiltshire countryside, the sculpture park specialises in 20th and 21st-century works of art such as Barbara Hepworth and Anthony Caro. Artwork is exhibited both in the park and in the three contemporary indoor exhibition spaces that have won several international architectural awards. It stages a closely-curated exhibition programme of modern and contemporary painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics and textiles.

Artist Jacob van der Beugel will give a talk on the day about his autumn exhibition is Wherever the Two Shall Meet. His new works in ceramic and concrete illustrate our current knowledge of genetics and biological data.

The discursive tours will be facilitated by staff from the Roche Court Educational Trust, an Educational Charity based at the New Art Centre, who encourage people of all ages to look, think and speak about art. Any donations made on the day by participants will support children and young people from all backgrounds to take part in one of their discursive tours.
