Jacob is Director of Strategy, Research & Impact at UK Youth, a pioneering charity that champions youth work across the UK. UK Youth is a sector-supporting infrastructure body, a direct delivery partner, and a campaigner for social change. Jacob ensures that the charity’s work is informed by the best available evidence, the needs & preferences of young people, and continuous learning. He joined UK Youth in 2021, after eight years leading research at the mental health charity, Mind. His career has included multiple research, service development, and policy roles focused on young people. These include designing services for young carers in social housing, supporting vulnerable young migrants, and working on youth unemployment policy for Jacinda Ardern, current Prime Minister of New Zealand.
