Former Chief Exec of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Lisa is a writer and mental health campaigner. She joined the NHS in 1973, spent the first half of her career as a nurse and a health visitor, and the latter half in NHS management, including 13 years running Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. In 2012, she was awarded a CBE for services to the NHS. She suffered from depression as a 15-year-old and uses her understanding of stigma, as , including self-stigma, to raise awareness and reduce the negativity that are still associated with mental illness.
