Performing Arts Network

The RSA Performing Arts Network enables connection between the widest range of performing arts professionals & enthusiasts, and people who are passionate about social change.  The purpose is to bring together members and their wider networks to compare experiences & share their practice, as well as to open up to the wider Fellowship ways in which the arts can contribute to social change.

We achieve this through holding get-togethers exploring these themes and related research from the RSA, and by sharing performances of work which addresses social challenges or has a strong connection to social change. We believe that the performing arts sector is not just about entertainment, it empowers audiences with knowledge and new perspectives, and many practitioners’ work ties in closely with the ambitions of the Power to Create and the wider mission of the RSA.

This network was set up in the belief that there is more to this sector than the razzle dazzle of showbiz! It has two main purposes: to hold network get-togethers where participants can compare experiences, feed into RSA research and consider ways to share their practice to benefit fellow FRSAs; to present occasional one-off showcase performances of works with a strong social remit particularly aimed at FRSAs who do not work in this sector.
