In this special 6-part series, Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Probation, Justin Russell, meets with inspirational leaders from the UK public sector to discuss strategies for surviving and thriving at the top.

In this first episode, Justin speaks to Sir David Bell, Vice Chancellor of Sunderland University, former Chief Inspector at Ofsted and Permanent Secretary at the Department of Education.

In this second episode, Justin speaks to Pia Sinha, Director of Women at Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service  and former governor of HMP Liverpool.

Episode 3 - Sir Michael Barber

In this third episode, Justin speaks to Sir Michael Barber, an educationalist and author who was knighted in 2005 for his contributions to improving government.  

Episode 4 -  Dame Clare Moriarty

In this fourth episode, Justin meets Dame Clare Moriarty, who rose up the ranks of the Civil Service to become Permanent Secretary of two different government Departments before leaving Whitehall and is now Chief Executive of Citizens Advice.

Episode 5 - Jo Dibb

In this fifth episode, Justin meets Executive Head of the Islington Futures Federation, Jo Dibb, who for 13 years was headteacher of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School, which inspired Michelle Obama. 

Episode 6 - Professor David Pendleton

The final guest in the series is Professor David Pendleton, one of the world’s leading experts on the subject. His 'Primary Colours' model of leadership has been highly influential in government in the UK and beyond.
