Envision futures
Built on the solid foundations of 100 years of the Student Design Awards, RSA Spark has been designed to achieve even greater impact.
In this third workshop, you’ll grow your capabilities in creativity, collaboration and courage as you imagine a better tomorrow for you and your community.
Key takeaways from this workshop
- You’ll draw on your values and motivations (explored in workshop one) and the context of your community (explored in workshop two), to create ideas that bring your vision of the future to life.
- You’ll learn techniques to generate new ideas, including using nature-based design prompts, and start to come up with new ideas in line with your brief and the desires of your human and non-human stakeholders.
- You’ll also discover ways to prioritise those ideas based on their potential for you or your team to drive positive impact using criteria that we use to select ideas for the RSA Spark showcase in September.
We encourage you to participate in or watch the workshops (available on playback and are 20-40 minutes) and/or do the downloadable activities provided to help you develop your idea for RSA Spark (see resources pack below).
You can also earn a digital badge by attending or watching a workshop.
Claim your RSA Spark digital badge
As a reminder, everybody who attends or watches a workshop on playback and completes the two surveys will get a unique Explorer digital badge for each workshop. You will need to complete both surveys with your name so that we are able to issue the badges.
- You can get an Explorer badge for each workshop you participate in.
- At the start of the workshop, you will be invited to fill in the baseline survey. Please complete this when prompted.
- At the end of the workshop, we will also ask you to fill in the end-of-workshop survey. We will only be issuing badges to participants who complete both surveys.
These surveys are designed to support you in identifying your capabilities and how they grow. The surveys are also an important way to give RSA Spark feedback and help us learn and improve.
